Description
Tamdhu 15 Year Old takes the sherry profile of the Knockando distillery in Speyside to a new level. Matured exclusively in oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46% without chill filtration, it is denser and darker than the 12 year old, with dried fruit, chocolate and warm spice to the fore.
Matured for 15 years in oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46%, it shows dried fig, dates, dark chocolate and orange on the nose. The palate is rich and dense, with raisins, toffee, clove and walnuts. The finish is long, with dark chocolate, walnuts and spice.
A generous, enveloping after-dinner whisky. Serve it neat in a nosing glass and add a drop of water to open the aromas. It pairs with dark chocolate, nuts, fruit cake and aged cheeses.
