Description
Vinho Licoroso Cabriz Ímpar is a true rediscovered gem, the fruit of winemaker Osvaldo Amado's sensitivity and vision. When he took over as head of winemaking at Global Wines, Amado found, among the cellar's forgotten treasures, a few barrels of fortified wine dating from the early 1990s. So Ímpar was born — a fortified wine that honours the traditional grapes of the Dão, elevated by time and a master's hand.
Cabriz Ímpar is crystal-clear, with a greenish topaz colour that reveals its age and complexity. The nose is deeply complex, with striking notes of dried fruit, candied orange peel, exotic woods and toasted grain. On the palate it's unctuous, with distinct freshness and long persistence that invites contemplation.
Tasting this wine is more than a tasting — it's touching history and a rare moment in Portuguese winemaking. Truly Ímpar (unique), as the name says.
