Description

Contraste Branco 2023 is a Douro wine made by Conceito Vinhos (winemakers Rita Marques and Manuel Sapage). It's known for its fresh, mineral and vibrant profile, from vineyards at about 600 metres on granite soils.

James Suckling's review of Contraste Branco 2023, scored at 89 points, shows a Douro wine marked by freshness and fruit expression.

The critic describes a clean nose dominated by white fruit, complemented by delicate floral notes and a light mineral character. On the palate it's young and vibrant, with subtle nuances of tropical fruit and a herbal touch adding liveliness and some spiciness.

Balanced acidity makes for a fresh tasting, while the finish shows good structure and persistence, leaving a firm, pleasant sensation.

Overall, this review reinforces the brand's consistency in making balanced, fresh wines that are versatile at the table, while keeping excellent value for money.
