Cistus wins gold at the 40th Challenge International du Vin

On 1 and 2 April 2016 the city of Bourg, France, hosted the largest and oldest French wine competition for the 40th year running.

With more than 4,000 wines competing from 37 different countries, Cistus Grande Reserva Tinto 2009 Douro DOC and Cistus Reserva Tinto 2011 Douro DOC won gold medals, while Cistus Tinto 2013 Douro DOC earned an honourable silver medal.

The unmatched flavour and texture of Douro wines did not go unnoticed by the refined palates of the more than 700 wine professionals on the competition jury.
