Cistus wins gold at the 40th edition of the Challenge International du Vin

On April 1st and 2nd, 2016, the city of Bourg, France, hosted the largest and oldest French wine competition for the 40th consecutive year.

With more than 4,000 wines in competition, originating from 37 different countries, the Cistus Grande Reserva Tinto 2009 Douro DOC and the Cistus Reserva Tinto 2011 Douro DOC were awarded gold medals, while the Cistus Tinto 2013 Douro DOC won an honorable silver medal.

The unparalleled flavor and texture of Douro wines did not go unnoticed by the discerning palates of the more than 700 wine professionals who make up the competition's jury.
