• Sherry: casks that held wine from Jerez; they tend to give dried fruit, raisins and spice.
• Ex-bourbon: American oak that first aged bourbon (US law requires new casks for bourbon, so many are available second-hand); they tend to give vanilla, coconut and caramel.
A finish is a final period of maturation in a second cask.

% ABV is alcohol by volume. In the European Union the legal minimum is 40% for whiskey and 37.5% for gin, rum and vodka. Cask strength means bottled at the cask's natural strength, without dilution. A few drops of water can open up the aromas.

A 700 ml bottle gives about 17 measures of 4 cl. Once opened, store it upright, tightly closed and away from light and heat: spirits keep well for months but slowly lose aroma once the bottle is half empty.

Description
Green Spot began as the whiskey of the Mitchells, Dublin wine merchants who from the 19th century took their own whiskey from Midleton distillery to age in the shop’s cellars. For decades it was a rarity known almost only in Dublin. Today it is one of the most sought-after single pot stills, fresh, fruity and very appealing.
Matured in bourbon casks and sherry casks and bottled at 40%, it shows green apple, pear, mint and honey on the nose. The palate is creamy, with spice, green apple, malted cereal and vanilla. The finish is medium, with spice, malted cereal and oak.
An easy, versatile whisky to enjoy neat, on ice or in a refreshing highball. It pairs with grilled fish, seafood, salads and fresh cheeses, and is an excellent choice for anyone discovering the category.
