Description
Caminhos Cruzados was born from the initiative and drive of Paulo Santos, a native of Nelas who, determined to return to his roots and invest in wine, decided to turn an old farming business into a modern wine producer and bottler. The company's philosophy is based on making quality wines, combining tradition with the modernity and constant differentiation the market demands. Its wines are made from its own grapes and from selected growers known for their quality and excellent varieties, all in the Dão. Caminhos Cruzados is the result of combined ideas and projects, and promises to help put Nelas back on the map as a land of fine wines.
Winemaking: Hand-picked into 15kg boxes. Destemmed, direct pneumatic pressing and cold static settling. Fully fermented in French oak barrels. Aged for 9 months with “bâtonnage”. Bottled in November 2016.
Tasting Notes: The Dão's great white grape, here with part of the blend fermented in French oak barrels. Great freshness and minerality, combined with enormous capacity to develop positively in bottle.
