Description
Vallegre Reserva Tinto 2021 elegantly expresses the richness of the Douro, combining the depth of old vines with the vivacity of younger ones. The nose charms with ripe fruit such as plum and black cherry, in harmony with touches of rockrose, balsamic notes and spice. On the palate it is dense and balanced, with fine, polished tannins, giving an enveloping and persistent experience. Eighteen months in new French oak barrels bring structure and sophistication, making it an excellent match for rich dishes such as red meat, game and strong cheeses. With good ageing potential, it can already be enjoyed now, ideally decanted and served at 14–16 °C.
