The age on the label is that of the youngest whiskey in the blend: every component spent at least 15 years in cask. Only time in wood counts — once bottled, whiskey does not age.

Description
Glengoyne 15 Year Old shows the effect of time on the slow, unpeated spirit of the Dumgoyne distillery. A larger share of European oak sherry casks, combined with American oak, adds a layer of dried fruit and spice to the fruity house style without losing the freshness and cleanness that make it so well loved.
Matured for 15 years in sherry casks, American oak and refill casks and bottled at 43%, it shows raisins, orange, dark chocolate and vanilla on the nose. The palate is creamy, with toffee, dried fig, cinnamon and orange. The finish is long, with walnuts, spice and oak.
A generous, enveloping after-dinner whisky. Serve it neat in a nosing glass and add a drop of water to open the aromas. It pairs with dark chocolate, nuts, fruit cake and aged cheeses.
