Description

Ardbeg Uigeadail takes its name from the loch that supplies the distillery with water on Islay. It combines whisky matured in bourbon casks with whisky aged in sherry casks, and is bottled at a natural strength of 54.2% without chill filtration.

The marriage of Ardbeg intense peat with the richness of sherry gives a deep and complete whisky. The nose has smoke, raisins, walnuts and leather. The palate is rich and powerful, with peat smoke, dried fruit, honey, spice and coffee. The finish is very long, with smoke, raisins and bitter chocolate.

Given its strength, taste it first neat and then with a few drops of water, which bring out sweet and fruity notes. It pairs with smoked meats, blue cheese, fruit cake or dark chocolate.
