Description

Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish takes the Islay classic and gives it a finish in oloroso sherry casks. After a decade in bourbon casks, the whisky moves into sherry-seasoned European oak, which adds dark fruit and warmth to the medicinal, maritime profile that made the distillery famous worldwide.

Matured for 10 years in bourbon casks and oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 48%, it shows peat smoke, iodine, raisins and cocoa on the nose. The palate is rich and dense, with peat smoke, red berries, toffee and sea salt. The finish is long, with peat smoke, walnuts and spice.

For lovers of smoke, it is an essential bottle. Drink it neat or with a drop of water, which reveals the sweetness hidden behind the peat. It pairs with oysters, smoked salmon, grilled meats and blue cheese.
