Description

Glenfarclas 10 Years Old is the gateway to one of the few great Scottish distilleries still owned by the same family, the Grants, since 1865. Set at the foot of Ben Rinnes in Speyside, Glenfarclas is famous for its sherry casks and direct-fired stills.

This ten year old shows elegant sherry without excess. The nose has apple, nuts, malt and raisins. The palate is sweet and smooth, with honey, gentle spice and discreet oak. The finish is medium in length, with nuts and a light hint of wood smoke.

An easy-to-love whisky with excellent value. It drinks well neat or on ice. It pairs with nuts, almond tart, medium-aged cheeses and cured meats.
