Description

Laphroaig 10 Years Old is one of the most unmistakable whiskies in the world. The distillery, founded in 1815 on the south coast of Islay, still malts part of its own barley and dries it over local peat smoke, which gives its famous medicinal, maritime profile.

Matured in first-fill bourbon casks, the nose shows peat smoke, seaweed, iodine and a vanilla base. The palate is smoky and salty, with surprising malty sweetness and spice. The finish is long, dry and very smoky.

A whisky that leaves no one indifferent. Try it neat or with a little water. It pairs with oysters, seafood, smoked fish and strong cheeses, and is also an excellent base for smoky cocktails.
