A 700 ml bottle gives about 17 measures of 4 cl. Once opened, store it upright, tightly closed and away from light and heat: spirits keep well for months but slowly lose aroma once the bottle is half empty.

Description
Miyagikyo is Nikka’s second distillery, built in 1969 in a valley between two rivers in Miyagi prefecture in northern Honshu. Masataka Taketsuru chose the site for its humidity and pure water, ideal for a soft malt. The large steam-heated stills produce a fruity, elegant spirit, the opposite of the Yoichi style.
Matured in American oak and sherry casks and bottled at 45%, it shows pear, green apple, vanilla and flowers on the nose. The palate is silky, with toffee, peach, malted cereal and almond. The finish is medium, with vanilla, oak and spice.
Balanced and complex, it works as well for a relaxed evening as for a special dinner. Serve neat or with a drop of water. It pairs with roast meats, mushrooms, nuts and hard cheeses.
