Description

Altún San Quiles 2022 from Bodegas Altún in DO Rioja is a single-plot wine made traditionally from destemmed grapes, with temperature control and then 15 days' maceration in tank. Altún San Quiles comes from a plot with unique soil and climate, making this Graciano a very special, friendly wine like all the Altún family's wines. Picked into 11 kg boxes, gravity-fed vats, native yeasts and spontaneous malolactic fermentation in 500L French barrels. Ageing: 10 months in 500L barrels and 4 months in Galileo concrete before bottling.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: Cherry with purple glints.

Nose: Very expressive, with good intensity. Black fruit, balsamic and spicy notes.

Palate: Broad, friendly and powerful at the same time, with well-defined fruit that makes it very pleasant and easy to drink.
