Description
With a history going back to 1865, Macieira has accompanied generations of drinkers and enthusiasts, from kings and poets to connoisseurs and pure brandy lovers, at home and abroad. It's distilled from wine made from local grapes and aged in oak casks to produce an easy-drinking spirit. Internationally recognised, Macieira has won numerous awards since appearing at the Paris World Exhibition in 1889.
Its elegant, astute character has allowed the brand to keep up with the times and adapt to today's market, always celebrating its origins and expertise. Made from the finest Portuguese grapes, Macieira has a unique aroma and flavour, following the same production process for more than 100 years.
Macieira, at 36% ABV, is made from wine spirit aged for at least six months in oak casks. Its subtle aroma comes from the original recipe, kept secret since its creation, and from distilling Arinto, Periquita, Trincadeira and Fernão Pires grapes.
