Description

Château La Mission Haut-Brion is one of the great wines of Pessac-Léognan, a direct neighbour of Haut-Brion and owned by Domaine Clarence Dillon, as the label itself states. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc of great depth and ranks among Bordeaux's most coveted reds. This 2015 vintage is a collector's bottle.

In the glass it shows a deep colour and a nose of ripe black fruit, cedar, tobacco and graphite, with fine spice that gains complexity with air. The palate is structured and elegant, with firm yet polished tannins, fresh acidity and a long, persistent finish.

Decant one to two hours ahead and serve at 16–18 °C with roast kid, lamb chops, dry-aged beef or hard cheeses. It is a wine built for the long haul that rewards patient cellaring.
