Description

Château Suduiraut is a First Growth of 1855 in Sauternes, with vines neighbouring Château d'Yquem and a 17th-century château whose gardens follow the Le Nôtre school. Its Sauternes, made from Sémillon with some Sauvignon Blanc, is known for its richness, aromatic brilliance and longevity.

In the glass it is bright gold, with a nose of apricot, candied orange peel, honey, saffron and white flowers. The palate is unctuous yet fresh, with lively acidity balancing the sweetness and a very long finish.

Serve at 10–12 °C with foie gras, Roquefort, nut tart or citrus desserts. Its ageing potential is remarkable and it will keep gaining complexity for decades.
