Cistus Grande Reserva 2018

Grande Reserva is only produced in exceptional years. After vinification, the lots are regularly evaluated during the barrel aging. The best lots are selected and after their final analysis, the decision is made to bottle them under the Grande Reserva brand.

Vinification is done in stainless steel vats with temperature control and using a “turbo-pigeur” for pumping over, which allows for smooth extraction of tannins. After a short post-fermentative maceration, the wine is aged. Glued with egg whites and after light filtration, the batch is bottled.

Visually, it appears deep and bright garnet with a white halo.

It is rich and complex, with ripe stone fruit, plum and black cherry, and their jam, standing out. It also presents a rich complexity of aromas of spices and toasted wood and cocoa. Then floral notes of rockrose. The aromatic structure is rich and multi-layered, finely intricate.
