Wine profile
Description
Made from traditional old Douro vines, including Touriga Nacional and Tinta Francisca, this wine shows a ruby colour, notes of red fruit and spice, with freshness and fine, ripe tannins.
The wine is the personal project of António Augusto Ferreira who, after several years in the beer business, decided to settle in Folgosa do Douro and start producing premium wines.
Dark ruby with violet notes. An intense nose with ripe black-fruit aromas, cherries and blackberries, married with new oak that adds complexity. Broad and round on the palate, with soft, fine tannins, notes of cherry and a slight grip. Fresh and balanced, with a long, mineral finish.
