95 points Robert Parker

Weingut Fritz Haag is located in the heart of the central Moselle valley. The area has been a grape growing site in Germany since Roman times. The winery has 17 hectares of vineyards planted exclusively with Riesling, and produces it in all its facets, from dry to sweet. Its wines are elegant and sophisticated and have great aging potential.

Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Trocken GG is located on a terribly steep slope in Braunebeger. The Romans already recognized the potential of the land and were the first to establish a vineyard there. It is a vineyard that is one of the driest in the area, a real advantage in a humid area to the north. It is classified as GG, the German equivalent of "Grand Cru".

Fritz Haag Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Trocken GG is harvested manually to make a selection of bunches, so that only the best bunches are vinified. It is pressed upon arrival at the winery and the must ferments in foudres and stainless steel vats. Finally, the wine undergoes a long aging period on lees, which gives it the final touch.

Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Trocken GG is a distinctive wine, with great purity and concentration and excellent aging potential.
