Heraclio Alfaro Crianza is a crianza red wine made from Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano varieties that the Heraclio Alfaro project produces within the Rioja DOCa.
Terras Gauda, a winery known primarily for promoting the Albariño variety from Rías Baixas, is embarking on a new project aimed at producing high-quality wines. This is the case with Heraclio Alfaro, a red wine from the Rioja DOCa that reflects the personality and character of the red varieties found in its habitat.
Thirty hectares of 40-year-old vineyards were cultivated to produce Heraclio Alfaro Crianza red wine. Loamy soils and a Mediterranean climate with continental influences yield the Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano grapes characteristic of the Rioja DOCa.
Heraclio Alfaro Crianza 2021 boasts an intense and attractive red color. On the nose, elegant aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries, are perceived, with red fruit compote, subtle spices, and dried herbs. On the palate, it is a balanced wine, with a smoothness that makes it very pleasant, as well as a freshness that highlights its light character. The oak is well integrated, providing a long finish and a mineral texture that makes it juicy and pleasurable.
