Herdade Grande Red 2019

The deep, intense colour in the glass draws you in, while the powerful, captivating nose; layer upon layer of spice, earth and tobacco – all set against a rich base of ripe black cherry, cassis and blueberry jam. The hook is set with the first whiff. Rich, round, juicy and mouth-coating, the palate delivers black cherry and black jam before moving on to brighter red fruits. More subtle tones of caramel and sweet oak complement the fruit beautifully. The huge, classic structure of fine-grained tannin and firm acidity persists all the way through to the clean, fresh, spicy finish.
