Description
Kopke Colheita White 2008 is a high-quality fortified White Port from a single harvest, made by the oldest Port house, Kopke. It aged in oak casks for an extended period (beyond the legal minimum of 7 years), giving a complex, refined profile.
Kopke Colheita White 2008
Light amber, golden and luminous, with delicate orange nuances, Kopke Colheita White 2008 has an elegant, captivating appearance.
On the nose it's delicate and expressive, with aromas of honey and candied orange peel, alongside notes of dried apricot, vanilla and a subtle touch of burnt sugar.
On the palate it has a silky, enveloping texture, with flavours of ripe pear, hazelnut and nutmeg wrapped in a pleasant caramel note. Its sweetness is harmoniously balanced by refreshing, vibrant acidity, giving liveliness and elegance.
It finishes long and persistent, leaving a complex, balanced and very elegant expression that extends the fruity, spicy and caramelised notes on the palate.
Overall impression: A Colheita White of great balance and personality, where richness and sweetness find in the acidity the tension needed for a fresh, elegant and persistent whole.
