Mamoré de Borba Rosé 2021

Aged in barrel and clay talha. It has the fashionable pale salmon colour, with great finesse of aromas and flavours, red fruit and a light floral note, plus a more complex side of pink pepper and damp clay. At once full and light, with refreshing acidity and a very long, intense finish full of character. (2021) 18 pts Grandes Escolhas.

It impresses with its mix of austerity and aromatic complexity, the fruit less important than the notes of pepper, rose, clay and wet earth. Remarkable presence on the palate, extremely elegant and serious at once, dry and firm, with plenty of freshness on the long, distinctive finish. A rosé for ageing. (2022) 18.5 pts Grandes Escolhas
