Description
Masseto is one of Italy's rarest and most coveted reds. It comes from a single vineyard on the Tuscan coast near Bolgheri, whose blue clay soils give Merlot unusual depth and freshness. It is classified as Toscana IGT.
The 2019 is 100% Merlot. Deep in colour, it shows intense ripe dark fruit with cocoa and spice, and a rich palate of ripe, dense tannins with long ageing potential.
A wine for special occasions, with red meat, game or aged cheese. Serve at 16–18 °C.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
