MOB Gauvé 2016

This project was born from the desire of three winemakers—Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal, and Jorge Serôdio Borges—to make a wine together. The chosen location was Dão, a region for which they shared a shared admiration, stemming from tasting wines from the 1960s and 1970s, which were surprisingly elegant and fresh. The remarkable identity and complexity of these wines served as inspiration for MOB wines.

A century-old plot in Gouveia. Very youthful in color, brightness, and aroma, all denoting tension, focus, and concentration. Complex blue fruit, with notes of forest, mushrooms, and pine needles, perfectly blended throughout. Fresh on the palate, lively tannins that don't impede a creamy texture and a long finish. A tremendous wine!
