Description

Montecastro 2019 is fleshy, juicy and elegant, with all the virtues of two Castilian reds while expressing a very personal impression based on complexity and nobility. 95% Tinto Fino and 5% Merlot. The vineyard is divided into 8 plots and 5 different estates according to altitude and soil type, lying between 860 and 923 metres above sea level. Bodegas Montecastro was founded in 2000 by a group of friends who became partners to fulfil a dream: to plant vines in the heart of Ribera del Duero, build a state-of-the-art winery and produce quality wines. All the cultivated and irrigated land is in the municipalities of Olmos and Castrillo de Duero.
