The impressive 2023 Encruzado Late Release comes from 50-year-old vines at Quinta de Saes, at 600 metres, their highest vineyard. It fermented in used 500- and 600-litre French oak barrels, where it aged for 18 months without bâtonnage. It shows good ripeness and 13.2% alcohol, with a dry, long finish. It has a spicy profile, an exuberant palate and intense flavours; very young and serious, with a chalky feel and a complete palate. It was bottled in February 2025.
