Quinta de La Rosa Touriga Franca Red 2020

This wine is marked by its ruby ​​hues. With floral and fruity aromas in perfect balance, where wild flowers and ripe blackberries stand out. In the mouth it is quite elegant, with a firm structure and dense body.

The Douro, despite being a very old region, still has much to explore thanks to its large size and enormous diversity of terroirs. Quinta de La Rosa is a good example of this diversity, with vineyards ranging from around 100m high, next to the river in the impressive Vale do Inferno, to 500 metres high in the Lamelas vineyard. We also have different sun exposures to the east, north and south and a great diversity of grape varieties. Always with a privileged view of the Douro River, all of the Quinta's grapes are A-rated – the best the region has to offer. The poor, schist soils, combined with a very varied topography, favour full-bodied wines with excellent levels of minerality, acidity and freshness. This combination of complexity and power, which is achieved when we have good maturation, and the elegance and freshness so characteristic of our Quinta, have made our wines famous. Our wines elegantly express the terroir without exaggerating maturation, extraction, tannin or wood.
