Description

Quinta de São Luiz Vinha Rumilã Grande Reserva Tinto 2018 is an exceptional Douro wine from the prestigious house of Kopke. It is a very limited edition from a century-old plot of vines more than 100 years old.

Quinta de São Luiz Vinha Rumilã tinto is a Grande Reserva made from a blend of grapes from the estate's century-old vines. After 2 years' maturation in barrels and a further 2 years in bottle, it is recognised as a wine with a singular, expressive and highly complex profile. Limited to just over 1,300 bottles because of the vines' low yields, this is undoubtedly a wine with great ageing potential.

Deep ruby in colour, it seduces with an aromatic expression marked by elegance and complexity, with notes of wild berries wrapped in floral and spicy hints. On the palate it is expressive and elegant, with silky tannins, acidity that gives definition, and a sense of minerality. A memorable Grande Reserva that opens out into a wonderful finish.
