Description:

Quinta do Noval is in the Douro Valley, in northern Portugal, where it has made Port since 1715. Among the great traditional Port houses, Noval is unique in its emphasis on its vineyard. Notably, it's this very vineyard in the Douro valley that gives the company its name, and its main Vintage Ports, Quinta do Noval Nacional and Quinta do Noval, are “single-quinta Vintages”. The aim is to make great classic Vintages that are also harmonious, elegant expressions of the Quinta do Noval “terroir”.

Purple/black, incredibly pure and concentrated with good depth. The palate is unbelievably intense, with very sweet blackberries, and on the nose you'll find cassis, chocolate, liquorice and spice. The tannins are sweet, the wine fills the mouth on entry and the finish is long. Though young, this Port is ready to drink and will remain so for the next twenty years.
