MATER (from the Latin Sub. Fem): The nobility of the Viosinho, Gouveio Real and Arinto varieties, associated with the soil and microclimate of the Douro at altitude, gave this wine personality and unique character.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged with batonnage on fine lees. Recommended to drink at a temperature of 8-10°C.
It has a fruity and intense aroma, with floral, elegant and fresh notes. The flavor is smooth and delicate, with a fresh and persistent finish.
It is an intense, mature wine, specific to the Douro “Terroir”, and is expected to age positively in the bottle for around 6 to 10 years after bottling.
