Sei Solo is a red wine from the DO Ribera del Duero made by Javier Zaccagnini. This wine is a monovarietal Tempranillo.
The grapes from which Sei Solo is born come from four plots of vineyards that are around 60 years old, located in the city of La Horra. In these, the viticulture that takes place is integrated, always respecting the natural environment.
The harvest is done manually and in small capacity boxes, so that the grapes do not break and lose their freshness on the way from the field to the cellar.
Sei Solo beans are de-stemmed and then cold macerated. They are later transferred to wooden tanks with a capacity of around 2500 liters.
Sei Solo, before being bottled and sold, ages for 18 months in used oak barrels with a capacity of 228 to 600 liters.
Sei Solo is the result of Javier Zaccagini's most personal project: former president of the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council and co-founder of Aalto. The name of the wine is intended to be a tribute to one of the winery owner's favorite works: "Sei Solo a Violino senza Basso accompagnato", by Johann Sebastian Bach.
