Description
Solaia is the most exclusive red from Marchesi Antinori. It comes from a south-facing vineyard on the Tenuta Tignanello estate in Chianti Classico, next to the vineyard that gives Tignanello, and is classified as Toscana IGT.
It is a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend with Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. The 2017 shows ripe black fruit, balsamic, cedar and spice notes, silky tannins and a long, persistent finish.
Ideal with red meat, pasta with ragù or game. Serve at 18 °C.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
