Susana Esteban Cabriolet Red 2017

Susana Esteban was born in 1969, Tui, Spain. She has a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Masters in Viticulture and Enology from the University of La Rioja. She began her journey as a winemaker in 1999, at Quinta do Côtto, having subsequently worked as a winemaker at Quinta do Crasto between 2002 and 2007. Both farms are located in the Douro. She has worked since the 2007 harvest as a consultant for different producers in Alentejo, namely Tiago Cabaço Wines, Solar dos Lobos, Monte dos Cabaços and Monte da Raposinha. During this journey, his work has been recognized both nationally and internationally. In 2012, she was awarded the most prestigious award that a winemaker can receive in Portugal, the title of “Winemaker of the Year”, by Revista de Vinhos, having been to date the only woman to have been awarded this distinction. At the end of 2009, Susana Esteban decided to start her personal project with the aim of making wines with a different character from the traditional Alentejo and giving life to two magnificent wines, Aventura and Procura.
