The aromatic palette of this Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is captivating, marked by brown spices and black pepper that permeate the vibrant red fruit that emanates from the nose. On the palate, the balance is remarkable, with delicate and saturated tannins. The 30% of whole clusters are remarkably integrated, adding complexity and precision to the finish.

Terroir : Exceptional expanse of vineyards – 200 metres long – spanning three distinct soil types: a stony soil with a significant proportion of clay, a soil composed of small stones with a high clay content, and finally a finer soil, mixing clays and silts. This diversity of terroirs gives the wine a richness and density, closer to the roundness and finesse of Vosne-Romanée than to the strength of Clos-Vougeot from the north of the appellation. This vintage is often described in Burgundy as “round” because it reflects all the soil types that can be found in this appellation.

Vinification and ageing: harvesting is manual with 30% whole harvests. 3 weeks of fermentation with very gentle extraction. 50% new oak barrels used for an ageing period of 20 months.
