Description
Tignanello is the Marchesi Antinori red that changed the history of Tuscan wine by pairing Sangiovese with Bordeaux varieties and barrique ageing. It comes from the Tignanello vineyard on the Tenuta Tignanello estate in Chianti Classico and is classified as Toscana IGT.
The 2021 blends 80% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, aged for 12 to 14 months in oak. It shows ripe cherry, spice and balsamic notes, with firm structure and good acidity.
Perfect with bistecca alla fiorentina, pasta with ragù or aged cheese. Serve at 18–20 °C.
