Vincent Girardin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Blanchot-Dessus 2019
Vincent Girardin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Blanchot-Dessus 2019 - 2019 is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Vincent Girardin comes from a family that has been cultivating vineyards since the 17th century. However, the true story of Domaine Vincent Girardin is more recent, beginning in 1980, when Vincent Girardin took over his parents’ two hectares of vineyards (the family has been winemakers since the 17th century) to produce his own wine. He cultivates his vines in an environmentally responsible way (without herbicides or insecticides, using natural compost from local farms and hand-harvesting), in a very natural way.
The vineyard currently covers 20 hectares, spread over 42 plots, and produces wines from prestigious Côte de Beaune appellations (Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, Volnay and Pommard).
Vincent Girardin has led his Burgundy wine merchant to the top since its founding in 1992. Bought by the Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois in 2012, the technical team has remained the same, under the leadership of Eric Germain from Meursault. The selection of winegrowers remains demanding, as does the high quality of the wines. The red wines are smooth, fruity and elegant, while the whites are fine, pure, intense and vibrant.
