Zambujeiro Especial 2022

Zambujeiro Especial 2022 has a deep, intense ruby colour, almost black with violet glints, revealing its remarkable concentration and youth at first sight.

On the nose it shows a complex, sophisticated bouquet of ripe black fruit, black plum, blackberry and cassis wrapped in fine violet notes. Successive aromatic layers bring nuances of spice, black tea, cedar and a subtle but seductive smoky touch that adds depth and elegance.

On the palate it confirms its imposing profile: full-bodied, robust and of great structure, yet surprisingly creamy in texture. The black fruit is intense and sweet, supported by firm, elegant, well-polished tannins that give solidity without losing finesse. The fresh, perfectly integrated acidity skilfully balances its high alcohol (16% Vol), leading to a very long, persistent and aromatically expansive finish.
