Description
Champagne Gonet-Médeville 1er Cru Blanc de Noirs Brut is a structured, food-friendly sparkling wine, made exclusively from Pinot Noir from Premier Cru vines in Bisseuil (90%) and Grand Cru vines in Ambonnay (10%).
The Wine AdvocateRP 93Reviewed by: William Kelley
The new release of Gonet-Medeville's NV Brut Premier Cru Blanc de Noirs is showing very well, with an appealing bouquet of crisp golden orchard fruit, honeycomb, warm biscuits and dried white flowers. On the palate it's full-bodied, broad and vinous, with ripe but lively acidity, good depth at the core and a delicate mousse. Concentrated and structured, another year in bottle will be rewarded with extra complexity, though it's already enjoyable now.
The score given by James Suckling to Champagne Gonet-Médeville 1er Cru Blanc de Noirs is 93 points.
According to the critic and his team, this Champagne shows a firm, tense structure with an extremely fine bead. Aromatically, notes of dried apple, lemon peel and a subtle touch of brioche stand out. It ends long, precise and markedly mineral, qualities often valued in reviews of this producer.
