The Glenrothes is a single malt distillery in Rothes, Speyside, beside the Burn of Rothes. Built by James Stuart & Co., it ran its first spirit on 28 December 1879 and was rebuilt and expanded after fires in 1897 and 1922. Today it belongs to Edrington.

A 700 ml bottle gives about 17 measures of 4 cl. Once opened, store it upright, tightly closed and away from light and heat: spirits keep well for months but slowly lose aroma once the bottle is half empty.

One large cube chills with less dilution; it softens but closes some aromas.
