Legitimate Concept 2020

Legítimo is a classic Douro red wine, light in color but full of aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry and leather. It is a field blend of traditional Portuguese grape varieties, sourced from 50-year-old vines at Quinta Vale de Cavalos.

Conceito Winery combines centuries of tradition with a bold new Portuguese style – led by Rita Ferreira Marques, an expert winemaker and native of the Douro Valley. Over the years, the winery’s incredible range has grown to include whites, sparkling wines and fortified reds, alongside intriguingly fresh reds such as Legítimo. It’s the perfect winery to start exploring Northern Portugal.

It’s full-bodied and wonderfully dry on the palate, showcasing flavors of dark forest fruits, rich baking spices, and an earthy forest floor tone. It perfectly balances roundness and freshness for an easy drinking experience.
