Description

Green Spot Château Montelena brings Ireland and California together: the Midleton single pot still finishes its maturation in French oak barrels that held the famous Zinfandel of Château Montelena, the Napa Valley estate that won the celebrated 1976 Judgment of Paris. A cult edition among Irish whiskey lovers.

Matured in bourbon casks, sherry casks and wine casks and bottled at 46%, it shows grape, red berries, vanilla and green apple on the nose. The palate is creamy, with red berries, honey, spice and pear. The finish is long, with grape, spice and oak.

Balanced and complex, it works as well for a relaxed evening as for a special dinner. Serve neat or with a drop of water. It pairs with roast meats, mushrooms, nuts and hard cheeses.
