Quinta de La Rosa stands out in the world of Port for its singular "house style": its Ports are known for being drier and more elegant, avoiding the excessive, overwhelming sweetness that sometimes characterises the category. Another distinguishing feature is that its wines are entirely made, aged and bottled on the estate itself in the Douro's Cima Corgo, not in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Our Tawny Port shows a nuttiness and complexity rarely found in tawnies of this type. Compared with the Ruby, the Tawny is much paler and lighter. As always, the La Rosa house style is a little drier on the finish than most. This Tawny Port shouldn't be confused with our old fine 10-year-old “Tonel Nº 12”. It should be drunk within 2 to 3 years of bottling.
