Description

Made from two plots of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, foot-trodden and fermented in lagar, this 2021 Vintage is serious, austere and restrained from the start, avoiding easy exuberance.

On the nose it's deep and reserved, with well-defined wild berries, balsamic notes, dried herbs, scrub and a subtle hint of spice, all very well drawn and still very restrained.

On the palate it has plenty of grip, with imposing, firm, fine-grained tannins supported by full body and excellent acidity that gives tension and balance. The whole is markedly young, compact and serious, clearly designed for development in bottle.

A classic, ambitious Vintage Port that favours depth, rigour and longevity, needing time to reveal all its complexity.
