Description:

93 pts Robert Parker - Opaque, almost black purple, with a very narrow purple rim. A classic nose with an intense, almost intoxicating aroma of wild fruit. The fruit is powerful yet very fine and complex. Dense blackberry and cassis aromas form the backdrop for minty, balsamic fragrances of aromatic herbs and the resinous character of cistus. Discreet notes of exotic wood, liquorice and black pepper add another dimension of complexity. The palate is built around a dense core of black fruit, and the tannins, with their dense, tight weave, provide both structure and volume. Raspberry and plum aromas add freshness and lightness to the long, exuberant finish.
